Die to Live

A blueness fell over me
as I realized
I must die
before I begin to live

Everything slows up
dries up within
It all decayed

But maybe
it's time
to just get rid
of all I have
and all that's been
and start over again

I soon
will remember
what it was like
to spread my wings

know how
to take flight
Me and my horizon in view

and watch that light

then take up again
